Girl Scouts Provide Gifts to FirstLight Health System Babies
The Mora and Ogilvie Girl Scouts honored the founder of the organization, Juliette Gordon Low, by providing gifts to the first two baby girls born on or after October 31st at FirstLight Health System. Low was born on October 31, 1860, so the Girl Scouts award the gifts to the first female baby born on or after this date annually in her honor.
This year, the local girl scouts gave so generously to this cause, they were able to give the first two baby girls a gift in honor of their founder. This year’s recipients of the gifts are Peyton Verdon, daughter of Christopher and Anna Verdon of Mora; and Alaina Hartl, daughter of Jeff and Katie Hartl of Hinckley. Peyton was born on October 31st and weighed 8 lbs., 3 oz. Alaina was born on November 4th and weighed 1 lbs. 7 oz.
The gifts included clothes, toys, blankets and more. Each item was donated by a Girl Scout member.
