Physical therapy services are focused on identifying and maximizing quality of life and movement potential within the spheres of promotion, prevention, treatment/intervention, habilitation and rehabilitation. It involves the interaction between physical therapist (PT), patients/clients, other health professionals, families, care givers, and our communities in a process where movement potential is assessed and goals are agreed upon, using knowledge and skills unique to physical therapists, with a goal of improving quality of life and movement potential.

 

Physical therapy at FirstLight Health System is committed to helping restore people to normal functioning, improve their mobility and achieve a greater degree of independence.
Physical Therapists (PTs) and Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) are health care professionals who evaluate and/or treat all ages of people with health problems resulting from injury or disease. They are highly skilled, trained professionals that are important members of the health care team. Their job involves working closely with physicians, nurses, and other specialists.

 

Some of the Physical therapy services available include: evaluation and assessment, custom foot orthotics, custom compression garments, diabetic foot screenings, wound management, lymphedema treatment, urinary incontinence treatment, exercise program development, balance and mobility training, posture and body mechanics education, soft tissue mobilization,  pain management, manual therapy techniques to improve mobility or alignment, pediatric evaluation and treatment among many other offerings

 

FirstLight Health System Physical Therapy currently has a full staff of physical therapists available in both Mora and Pine City ready to serve your needs. Services are offered Monday-Friday.
